Malga Ciapela

Malga Ciapela village is the ideal starting point for your ski days in Arabba Marmolada ski area. This place is filled with hotels and apartments located at 1450 meters of altitude, directly on the ski slopes in winter and the main paths in summer.

From Malga Ciapela the famous Marmolada cable car starts: it links valley station located at 1450 meters with Punta Rocca mountain station at 3265 meters of altitude.

During your trip to the top, you have also the chance to stop at the intermediate cableway station called Serauta at 2950 meters, where you can visit Marmolada Great War Museum 3000 M.

Once arrived on the top you can go to the panoramic terrace and admire a wonderful 360° view on the Dolomites.


Sottoguda hamlet is an amazing village at the base of Mount Marmolada, a place where time seems to be stopped.

Sottoguda is an ancient dolomites village at 1250 meters of altitude, where it is possible to admire the traditional wooden haylofts called "tabièi" in the local language or the handicraft production of wrought iron and carved wood, of last but not least, the famous Sottoguda beech forest, one of the highest in Europe.

Sottoguda has been awarded as One of the most beautiful little village in Italy since 2016 and is reachable also by ski from Malga Ciapela through Serrai di Sottoguda canyon.

Every year this wonderful village is appreciated friom people coming from all over the world, also skiers while doing Great War Ski Tour.

Rocca Pietore

In the heart of the Dolomites, at the base of Mount Marmolada, Rocca Pietore area (known as "La Ròcia" in the local language) is a quiet oasis for your vacations.

The name of the village derives from a tower which was built in the main square, close to Saint Mary's church.

Mount Marmolada, its ski area part of Dolomiti Superski and Serrai di Sottoguda canyon are the main tourist attractions, suitable for sports but also nature and relax lovers.

In Rocca Pietore area it is possible to find every type of accommodations: hotels, mountain huts, apartments surrounded by the pure nature and the magic of the snow.


Laste is a very characteristic locality of the Rocca Pietore’s Area with an enviable and panoramic position: from here you can contemplate the Civetta and Pelmo in the background and then the Col di Lana, the Pore and the Tofane.

The meadows here are mowed with care by the inhabitants and you can admire the larch woods and the famous monoliths located in Ronch.

This village is located at the foot of the Migogn, a fascinating and unspoiled mountain from whose top you can admire the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites There are a lot of small hamlets, such as Moè and Saviner di Laste, that are located between 1.200 m and 1.500 m above the sea level and are dominated by the Col da Gejia, the hill where is the church built in 1863 and dedicated to Saint Gottardo. There is also Digonera , the northernmost inhabited area of the municipality of Rocca Pietore and in a strategic position for excursions and ski areas.
