One of the most iconic mountain in the Dolomites is Marmolada, with its 3343 meters of altitude is known as the Queen of the Dolomites.

Marmolada is a mountain with thousand facets, it is famous for sport activities, but also for the history and its glacier, the widest of the Dolomites.

Modern lifts allow to confy reach Punta Rocca at 3265 meters of altitude: a panoramic terrace to admire a wonderful 360 ° view on the Dolomites, from here in winter a popular alpine ski slope starts "La Bellunese" is the longest slope in the entire Dolomiti Superski ski carousel.

From Punta Rocca panoramic terrace, the best observation deck in Dolomites, it is possiblie to admire the famous Marmolada glacier. Another possibility is to visit Marmolada Great War Museum and its Monumental Area.

As well as for alpine skiing, Mount Marmolada is popular also for ski touring thanks to the presence of the glacier and lots of snow on the ground untill late spring. 

In summer there are also exciting vie ferrate or high quality climbing routes on Marmolada south wall, known also as "silver wall" for the quality and the colour of the rock.

Marmolada - move to the top cable cars are open to the public every day for the summer season, with the chance to confy reach high altitude thanks to modern cableways. 

In summertime also the Monumental Area is open to the public with the possibility to appreciate guided escursions to forcella Vu as well as the chance to visit Great War Museum. 

There is a place at Punta Rocca, on the panoramic terrace, where it really seems to touch the sky with a finger while admiring a 360 ° view on the Unesco Dolomites.
