- Val di Fiemme
Although the legendary Latemar massif, in the Dolomites (declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site), has always been a fascinating place, since summer 2014 this hiking destination has become even more exciting. This is thanks to the Latemarium, which offers children and parents four new themed trails and a spectacular panoramic all-round viewing platform offering endless breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain landscapes. We paid particular attention to the environmental aspect of the overall project in order to limit its impact on nature. The Latemarium can be easily reached by ski lift from Obereggen, Pampeago and Predazzo, from where the Latemar themed trails start: Nature, Latemar.Views, Latemar.Unesco, Latemar.Alp, Latemar.Art, Latemar.Tempo and Latemar.360°. A wooden viewing platform, built on the mountain at 2,100m above sea level, which is in the shape of a fossil that was found here. At the foot of the massif’s steep rocky wall it is possible to admire (from left to right) the glacier ridge of the Brenta/Adamello, past the Gran Zebrù and the Ortles, up to the Venoste Alps, and the Stubai Breonie di Levante Alps. In good weather conditions you can see for more than 70 km.
