From Ciampedìe, go towards the Ciampedie Refuge and descend to the hollow below, then go up again towards the Negritella Refuge. From here, take the panoramic path "Vial da le feide" ("Sheep’s path", as it was used by the ancient shepherds). Ascend along the wood and the meadows of "Pra Martin". Go beyond the mountain station of the chair lift, across a sparse wood and then on the grazing below the "Pale Rabiouse" peaks. The path, sometimes rocky and lightly exposed in some points, goes constantly up through rocks and screes, until the fascinating hollow of "Pael de Sora" (2,350 m). Take path no. 541 that quickly leads to the left to the "Buja de Vael", protected by the spectacular walls of the Roda de Vael and the "Mugoni". The refuges Roda di Vael and Baita Marino Pederiva can be easily reached in half an hour. Go on along the same track, or following the paths no. 545 ("Alta Via dei Fassani"), no. 541 ("Cigolade" Pass), no. 548 (Costalunga Pass), no. 549/539 (path Christomannos-Majaré-Paolina).
