MICHELUZZI
- Alpine Hut
- Campitello di Fassa
Where the Duron Valley widens - and becomes a little paradise, highly popular and much loved by tourists - is where you’ll find the Rifugio Micheluzzi. The green pastures dotted with little chalets and with the Ruf de Duron stream flowing to the valley are perfect for Alpine walking, mountain biking or relaxing on the grass, but you can also set out from here on more challenging hikes on Sassolungo and Catinaccio. You may get two (pleasant) surprises: the Highland cattle raised on the pastures near the refuge and the minerals in which the area abounds. Open From early June to late September Before leaving for your hike, always contact the manager to verify the actual opening of the mountain hut Walks It takes 1 ¼ hours (difficulty E) to walk up to Rifugio Sassopiatto (which is on the Sassolungo Tour). In the direction of Catinaccio, you can get to Rifugio Antermoia (3 hours, difficulty E) crossing over Passo delle Ciaregole and Passo de Dona. Rifugio Val de Dona can be reached in 2 ½ hours via Passo delle Ciaregole (difficulty E).
