Possibly the most beautiful house in San Candido, the Grauer Bär blends living tradition with contemporary elegance. Since 1462, it has welcomed guests in the historic, traffic-free centre – a proud member of Schlosshotels & Herrenhäuser and the Historic Hotels of Europe. Head Chef Rocco Ferraro delights guests from breakfast to dinner and, in season, invites them to small culinary insights in his kitchen. Franz Ladinser personally selects the wines with great car, Verena Ladinser leads the hotel with warmth, style, and attention to detail. 29 individually designed rooms, a rooftop terrace with Dolomite views and two saunas create refined retreats. In summer, bicycles are available; year-round, admission to the nearby Acquafun swimming centre is included. Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the hotel.
