600 km bike trails at two altitudes

The tour network of the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi and Gröden/Val Gardena bike region comprises 600 kilometres of cycle routes at two altitudes. The tours on the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi and the villages of Kastelruth/Castelrotto, Seis am Schlern/Siusi allo Sciliar, Völs am Schlern/Fiè allo Sciliar and Tiers am Rosengarten/Tires al Catinaccio, which are about 1,000 metres lower down, make biking possible in every season.

Your biking holiday in South Tyrol with us offers a wide selection of tours for every level: from technically demanding climbs and rapid descents to easy tours with around 200 to 300 metres in altitude. If you’re looking for a challenge you can pedal away at an altitude of up to 2,500 metres. Thanks to the summer lifts, large differences in altitude don’t pose a challenge, and bike transport is sometimes even free of charge.

The Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi region has everything runners could want: the Running Park Seiser Alm in South Tyrol offers around 240 kilometres of running trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Eight of the 20 well-signposted running trails are located on Europe's largest high alpine pasture, the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi, twelve trails in the villages of Kastelruth/Castelrotto, Seis am Schlern/Siusi allo Sciliar, Völs am Schlern/Fiè allo Sciliar and Tiers am Rosengarten/Tires al Catinaccio, and the mountain trails mostly in Tiers am Rosengarten/Tires al Catinaccio. Whether you’re following the 18.4 km Plattkofel Trail, the easy Beginners’ Run or the challenging mountain trails, the Running Park offers the ideal route for every type of runner.

Hike with your children to the where Schlern/Sciliar witches used to gather and follow in the footsteps of local knights. The Hexenquellen (“witches’ springs”) barefoot adventure trail will guide you in the right direction. The themed trails of the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi make hiking an adventure for the whole family. Guided hikes with experiences on the farm, in nature or through the forest at night, as well as exploratory tours in the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Reserve are also on the hiking programme for families.
