The lunar plateau of the Dolomites.

Once reached Pordoi Pass (2,239 m), the cable car brings to Sass Pordoi (2,950 m). Descend to the near saddle Pordoi on the rocks. Go up again along the southern side on stepping-stones and detrital ledges to reach the peak next to the Capanna Piz Fassa Refuge at 3,152 m (1.15 h; 1.35 h). After a break to stare at the wonderful landscape all around you, go down on the north-western side, pass over a rocky jumps through a ledge equipped with a metal safety cord (via ferrata), to reach then the Boè Refuge at 2,871 m (0.30 h; 2.10 hrs). Come back to the saddle Pordoi (0.45 h; 2.50 hrs), passing through the steps that compose the basement of Piz Boè. Go back to the cable car, up to Sass Pordoi (0.20 h; 3.10 hrs).
