From the Valcroce location at the mountain station of the Plose we follow the signs for path 7-30, also known as the "Alta Via di Bressanone", uphill along the forest road in a northerly direction. After the wooded area we need to take a deviation to the right, the path initially being composed of gravel, and then for the most part following the ski slopes until the mountain hut oif  Rifugio Plose (CAI Bressanone). From this hut path nr. 6 takes us to Monte Telegrafo (a large plateau-like area at the topmost point with an extensive view to the west and taking in the town location). Path number 6 then follows the north crest and passes by the cross of San Leonardo. The crest is a grassy area and will lead us to Forcella Plose, from where we descend on the western side to Alpe dei Buoi (Ochsenalm is a welcome stop-off point). Continuing the return we follow the Alta Via di Bressanone (path 30), it crossing the western part of Plose. Keeping to the higher part of the wooded area, across fields and with many rhododendrons, there is a super view across of Alpi Sarentine and Bressanone. The walk takes us to a natural conclusion at the Plose lift.
