The fourth day of the trip combines two routes, among the finest in the region, into a demanding and unusual tour, finishing with a night spent in a magnificently located hut up in the mountains. You first follow the majority of the “Sella Ronda clockwise” route around the imposing Sella massif, apparently largely downhill thanks to the four cable cars that take the strain of over 2000m of ascent. The second part of the tour begins in the Fassa Valley, involving considerably more ascent and featuring the long, unforgettable climb up the largely unspoilt Duron Valley that extends on the southern side of the Plattkofel/Sassopiatto and forms the border with the adjacent Rosengarten/Catinaccio Group, with its 3000-metre summits. The aim is the Tierser Alpl Hut, the highest hut in the region that can be reached by bike, in its spectacular location at the foot of the majestic Rosszähne/Denti di Terrarossa peaks.
