The Alleghesi ferrata (ropeway) is one of the great itineraries for mountaineers and hikers of the Dolomites, as it takes you directly to the summit of the Civetta (3218 metres), up the eastern wall and then cresting over its northern wall.

Excellent preparation needed due to parts of the ferrata without cables and ladders and for sheer physical effort.

An itinerary with unforgettable views over some of the quintessentially dolomitic areas, snaking its way upwards on rocky walls and canals.

You can start from either side of Civetta: from Alleghe take the lifts to Col dei Baldi and stay overnight at the A. Sonino Hut in Coldai. Then the morning after it’s time to move on!

A mountain ropeway walk to experience the challenges man has faced in conquering the higher peaks.
