Moena meets the economist Carlo Cottarelli

As part of the traditional series of cultural appointments taking place in summer, Professor Carlo Cottarelli, worldwide known economist, present his ltest books "Pachidermi e pappagalli" and "All’inferno e ritorno" in Moena, by the schools' main hall. Cottarelli will talk with the public and also make an analysis of the future situations and of the challenges for bouth our country, for Europe and for the whole world. At 9.00 p.m. Free entry.

Carlo Cottarelli is the Director of the Observatory on the Italian Public Accounts of the Catholic Univeristy and Visiting Professor of the Bocconi in Milan. After graduating in Economics and Banking at the University of Siena, he received a master in Economics at the London School of Economics. After a first job experience at the Bank of Italy, he has worked for the International Monetary Fund in Washington, where he has had important roles in different departments. After having been  named Commissioner for the Spending Review, President Sergio Mattarella designated him Prime Minister - role that he accepted under reserve - to lead a caretaker governement. After all, he gave up three days later, because "of the creation of the conditions for a new government", in favour of the birth of that leaded by Giuseppe Conte.
