Mountain huts in Val di Fassa

There are so many refuges and chalets open in winter in Val di Fassa, which are located near the slopes and where you can stop for a break from skiing. Some of them also offer accommodation facilities. Sleeping in a refuge at 2,000 metres above the sea level, under a starry sky, surrounded by silent nature and by the Dolomites, is an experience for real mountaineers only. In addition, the simple, family-run, genuine hospitality, the taste of dishes made according to old recipes, stories told by the fireplace. There are also huts in the side valleys, accessible on foot, by snowmobile or snowcatrefreshment bars nearby the lifts and mountain dairies, where you can have a snack of mountain products.

Enjoy the thrill of sledding by night, under the moonlight! Turning back in time to when we were children and our first memory of the snow and our first sledge rides. Tobogganing in Val di Fassa is not a sporting event: it means a dinner or a glass of mulled wine with friends in an isolated mountain hut, the climb on foot or by snowcat, a little music and, to end the evening, a lot of fun with a breathtaking night-time descent on a wooden toboggan. It gives you the feeling of a different type of holiday, one to remember among the best.
