Val di Fassa: federal training centre of the National Alpine Ski Team
This will be another winter in the name of skiing and high-level competitions in Val di Fassa. Italian champions of the different disciplines are pumped and will try to get on the podium of the Ski World Cup. Part of their success will be built in Val di Fassa, which for years has been training centre of the National Alpine Ski Team, men’s and women’s, thanks to the project "Piste Azzurre", recently renewed to land the Olympic Winter Games Milano-Cortina 2026. Throughout the winter season the valley, thanks to a fruitful collaboration between FISI, the Tourist Board Azienda per il Turismo, Dolomiti Superski, the lift companies as well as local ski clubs, makes available eight tracks, in the different ski areas of Fassa, for the preparation of slalom, giant slalom, super G and downhill.
Since 2006, Val di Fassa is the home of the Italian National Ski Team

This winter, renowned races will take place once more on some of the eight slopes selected for the training of the athletes competing in the international circuits. Specifically, "Pra di Tori" slope in Carezza ski area hosts a men’s and women’s parallel giant slalom valid for the Snowboard World Cup. In mid-December, at the Ski Stadium Aloch in Pozza will be held the European Cup men’s slalom (daytime), followed by the Italian Grand Prix, whereas on the slope "La VolatA" on San Pellegrino Pass the jet girls will compete in a couple of European Cup downhill races. Moreover, there are great expectations for the FIS Baltic Cup which, after the success of the 2021 edition, makes its return both in 2022 and 2023 at Ski Stadium Aloch with approximately 300 athletes, engaged for several race days.
