Civetta in Belluno
Civetta enchants winter sports enthusiasts from early December until the end of April. The mountain is surrounded by three valleys in Belluno: Val Cordevole in the west, Val Fiorentina in the north and Val di Zoldo in the east. Civetta also forms the Civetta-Moiazza range with various smaller peaks, and is a part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site.
However, the beautiful landscape is certainly not the Civetta ski resort’s only outstanding quality. Historic values, traditional crafts and heartfelt hospitality characterise the region in Belluno. At the same time, Veneto’s largest slope region is truly deserving of its name as a modern winter sports hub. Visitors ski and sleep in the surrounding communities of Alleghe, Selva di Cadore and Zoldo. Skiers and snowboarders can also be found on three slopes in Palafavera.
Good to know: names aren’t always what they seem! “Civetta” is the Italian word for “owl”. However, the locals from Alleghe call their mountain “Zuita”. Bet you didn’t know that!
80 diverse kilometres of slopes for skiers and snowboarders
The perfect slope for every winter sports enthusiast – skiers and snowboarders can quickly choose their personal favourites from the total of 80 kilometres. 25 blue slopes with an overall length of 30 kilometres give newbie and returning skiers a safe start. A total of 44 kilometres on 18 moderately difficult slopes promise varied descents. And last but not least, the daring can tackle sporting challenges on four black slopes with a total length of six kilometres.
Heavenwards: 22 state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts carry you safely from one slope to the next. Check the lift operating hours now!
Two snow parks, unlimited action: the two snow parks Alleghe Central Park and Zoldo Alleghe have a lot to offer! With kickers, jibs, lines, a half-pipe and a snowboardcross route, they leave nothing to be desired for snowboarders and freeriders. Also, the big air bag promises even longer hang time. Dare to try adventurous stunts in front of the unique mountain backdrop of the Dolomites! The “Mini Central Park” ensures that even newbie freestylers don’t feel left out.
