Ciampac and Vigo di Fassa: Wonderland Skitour for
Juniors
Enjoyment and fun for the children is what winter is all about.
That's the reason why the Fassa Valley transforms itself into a large
children's park. The tour starts off at the "Tananai" mini club
in the town centre of Vigo, follows on to the fun packed games' park at
Ciampadie, the "Snow Kiddies Park" in Pera and "Children's
Land" in Canazei. The family-friendly Ciampac skiing resort is really
the tops and next to the "Fantaski" children's park also boasts
lovely slopes for the grown-ups. On this entire tour the kids experience
the winter as they themselves wish to, with obstacle and fantasy world
courses, enormous snowmen and entertaining activities. In the skiing play
school they are also in the best possible of care. Parents can peacefully
enjoy a run or two on the slopes and follow that up with sunbathing in
front of one of the traditional huts of the region. Why not ask about
the "Ski Special for Kids" ? It's a free skiing weekend for
children up to the age of 8.
The Lake Carezza Skiing Tour: King Laurin
The Laurin skiing tour moves on next to the Rosengarten hut with a panoramic
view which is simply out of this world over the kingdom of the legendary
dwarf king, who was so proud of his Rosengarten. On the meadows of Moseralm
Laurin courted his great love, the Princess Simhild. He tried to win her
hand without success and then resorted to kidnapping the lovely maiden
! The Laurin tour follows on down to Passo Carezza, over which Simhild´s
brother and the Goth King Dietrich rode determined to save the princess.
They freed her and subsequently Laurin was beside himself with rage. The
flower in his life suddenly became a thorn in his side so he fled from
Rosengarten..."neither the bright day nor the dark night of the splendid
Rosengarten ever to see again". But Laurin forgot about the moment
between day and night - the twilight. What a pity ! When the sun lies
behind the peaks in its peaceful way, the Dolomite twilight is rosy red.
