Freeride

Thrilling times in a wonderful land

Carving has undoubtedly changed skiing.. Elegant and easy, this new technique means the body moves in an extremely natural manner and creates the sensation of sliding over the snow without any great weight. Along the Dolomite routes all you need to do is enjoy the nicely compacted powder snow and glide gently to your next lift! Oh, and don’t forget to take in the stunning views which you have all around – we wouldn’t wish you to relax too much!
Carving really is the way to ski and see!

Freeride – dream riding

In all 12 of the Dolomiti Superski areas there are ample spaces of super fresh snow for ‘off piste’ skiing. Famous are Val Mezdì, the gullies of Pordoi, il Cristallo, and Val Chedul. There is nothing so thrilling as skiing down on virgin snow and making your own tracks – there is a real sense of liberty and the crystalline snow resting lightly on your skis is indicative of the purest of moments. Let’s remember however that freeride means also respect, care and attention...

... Monitoring of the weather forecast and avalanche warnings and ensuring that you are always carrying recommended safety equipment and wherever possible that you are accompanied by an export alpine guide are the basic rules we all need to follow. And remember too that for safety reasons freeriding is out of bounds near to slopes, in National Parks and when there is risk of avalanche. Enjoy in tranquility!
