In harmony with nature

The colossal Dolomite peaks on gentle hilly slopes. Snow clouds from the North cover everything in white; from the South the Mediterranean climate breaks in. In addition to that a lot of sunshine and climatic zones that stretch from the Mediterranean into the Alpine area result in a variety of vegetation thriving on a narrow space. You can look forward to natural parks, hiking trails and be a part of unspoilt nature...

Dolomiti Super Nature

Building uphill facilities is always done with minimal environmental impact. In summer, the slopes are green and flowery, ideal for grazing. For the production of compact snow we use only clean water, while respecting the hydrologic balance. The water is not consumed, but turned into snow and then returned to the nature in the form of natural water streams. The snow machines, as well as the 450 uphill facilities, work with electricity from water power, so they don’t pollute the environment. South Tyrol produces twice its electricity needs every year.

Breathtaking views as far as the eye can see

Since the time when Dèodat de Dolomieu, the scientist from whom the mountains take their name, discovered the particular chemical composition of Dolomite rock , vast areas of the Dolomites have been put under protection afforded by Nature reserves, National Parks, and Nature sites. Make sure not to miss the splendid views of peaks that are: Sass Pordoi (2.950 m), Lagazuoi (2.800 m), Marmolada (3.342 m), Tofana di Rozes (3.225 m) and Tre Cime di Lavaredo (2.999 m). Once witnessed they will stay with you for ever as examples of very special mountain architecture!
