Safety

You will feel safe

The Dolomites are amongst the safest regions in Europe. For the rescue on the slopes are the Carabinieri, police, financial police, forestry police, red cross and the army responsible. Many aid organizations are available in case of an accident. Emergency care and health care service are of the highest standard: plenty of pharmacies, good hospitals, surgeries and first aid stations. You will certainly feel at ease.

Safe from avalanches

Here the colossal Dolomite peaks; there the gentle ski slopes. This spatial division of winter sports and mountain scenery has the advantage that Dolomiti Superski is one of the safest ski areas of the Alps with respect to avalanches. Only very few slopes lead you close to steep rocky versants. We are very careful; when there is risk of avalanches those slopes are closed.

The fundamental stages of Dainese protectors in the skiing world

“Providing people with head-to-toe protection in dynamic sports" has been Dainese’s aim since it was established.
The know how and experience acquired in the field of motorcycle protectors has also been transferred to skiing and snowboarding, sports in which the need for adequate protection is increasingly felt.
Also in the skiing world, competitions and collaboration with athletes of the standing of Deborah Compagnoni, Lasse Kjus, Giorgio Rocca and Aksel Lund Svindal, were the starting point for the growth of a concept of protection, today common among all aficionados.
In fact, the back protector, created by Dainese with the designer Marc Sadler in 1987, was adopted for the first time in 1994 by Italian ski champions. Kristian Ghedina, Debora Compagnoni and the whole “Valanga Azzurra" team used it during the World Cup competitions and from this time on the precious back protector has been used by all skiing athletes.
The subsequent step was the creation of a line of clothing and protections dedicated to winter sports, to which Dainese applied its experience and leadership acquired in the motorcycling world also to protect skiers and snowboarders: in 1995 the No Impact division was born.
In 2004 the Vicenza company became “Safety Partner” of the Italian National Ski Team. Just as in the motorcycle sector, the Dainese Racing Service, D-Mobile, became a landmark for the safety of all World Cup athletes.
It is also due to its experience beside top athletes and the continuous exchange of ideas and advice that Dainese is able to develop and propose state-of-the-art protections which ensure safety and protection without limiting freedom of movement.
In the last few years technological research has achieved significant results, which are transformed into innovative and high-performance products.
