Spoilt by nature - White slopes guaranteed

In winter the Dolomites are covered by white caps giving the peaks a gentle and silent look. What, however, if the sun does not allow the glittering snowflakes to fall from the sky? No worries. Snow making facilities are available on 90% of the Dolomiti Superski slopes, guaranteeing enjoyment on the snow from the end of November until late April.

Unparalleled 80% of sunny days

The Dolomites deserve the name of ‘sun-mountains’. Across the Alps there is no mountain range that gets an equal amount of sunshine. In the sunny ski paradise of the Dolomites the sun shines on 8 days out of 10. This gives pleasure and activates new energies - skiing, sitting in the sun, looking at the glimmering ice crystals and enjoying the holiday to the full.

Winter temperatures

The temperatures in winter are subject to considerable fluctuations. Mediterranean influence comes in through a distinct southern stream. On peak days and in particularly sunny-exposed areas +20° Celsius (C) are reached. The average daily temperatures vary between +2° and +6° C. During the night the temperature can drop to –15° C. The average night temperature is around –4° C. As the ski resorts reach high into Alpine climatic zones, temperature fluctuations together with strong winds can become even more prevalent. We therefore recommend you to take with you good equipment from top to toe. Modern sport clothing from specialist shops is suitable for the temperature fluctuations during winter sports.
